
Hans-Peter Weber, D.M.D.
Dr. Weber is Professor and Chair of the Department of Prosthodontics and Operative Dentistry at Tufts University, School of Dental Medicine, a position he assumed in February 2010. He holds dental degrees from the University of Berne, Switzerland (Dr. med. dent., 1976) and the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (DMD, 1990), as well as Certificates in Prosthodontics (1979) and Periodontology (1984) from the University of Berne. From 1990-2010 he served on the faculty of the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, of which the last 15 years as Chair of the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Biomaterials Sciences.
Before joining the Boston Center of Oral Health, he practiced for over 20 years at the Harvard Dental Center. His educational background in prosthodontics and periodontics including dental implants make him one of the preeminent experts in implant dentistry worldwide. Dr. Weber holds active memberships in numerous professional organizations. He is a Fellow and member of the Executive Council of the Academy of Prosthodontics, an Honorary Member of the American College of Prosthodontists, a Fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI), and a Fellow of both the American and International Colleges of Dentistry. Dr. Weber has published widely in the scientific and clinical literature as it relates to his expertise and lectures nationally and internationally. He is an Associate Editor of “Clinical Oral Implants Research” and serves as reviewer for several other journals.
In his free time, he likes travel, golf, boating, and skiing.
