Christina Pastan, DMD
Dr. Christina DiBona Pastan is a 1991 graduate of the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Before attending dental school, she graduated from Wheaton College with a B.A. in Chemistry. At Wheaton she received the Donna Ingemie Prize in Chemistry and was awarded the Julia R. Lang professional scholarship.
During her years at dental school, Dr. Pastan served all 4 years on the admissions committee, was selected as a student Radiology instructor and was a 4-year Merit Scholar. After forming an interest and talent for endodontics, she was awarded the Pearl and Louis Guam award in Endodontics. After graduating from Tufts, Dr. Pastan completed a general practice residency at New England Medical Center in Boston. During her residency program, she also practiced in the dental clinic at the Walter E. Fernald State School in Waltham, MA and is very experienced in working with patients with handicaps and special needs.
In 1994, Dr. Pastan completed her Post-Doctoral training in Endodontics also at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Apart from private practice, Dr.Pastan is on faculty at the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Pastan is an Associate Clinical Professor in Endodontics and the school’s first Director of Mind-Body Wellness.
A longtime practitioner of yoga and meditation, Dr. Pastan earned her 300-hour yoga and meditation certification from the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. She is also a 25 hour Lakshmi Voelker Chair Yoga Instructor. Dr. Pastan teaches yoga and meditation to dental students as part of their dental school training for stress relief and self-regulation in their patient dental care.
She is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontists, the Massachusetts Dental Society, the Massachusetts Association of Endodontists and the American Association of Women Dentists.
